Al Gelato has been one of my family's favorite spots for years. It is a quaint, family run restaurant nestled on the trendy Robertson Blvd. While they do have great authentic Italian food- the real reason I come is for the gelato!
Now, I lived in Florence, Italy for 6 months- so I've tried my fair share of gelati---and this is the only place I've been since that has actually measured up. Try the chocolate hazelnut (aka gianduia) for a traditional flavor- or try something more daring like "rose" or "pumpkin." And don't forget to bring cash! They dont take credit cards.
